The panel is the engine. The player is the front door.
AzuraCast, Centova Cast, MediaCP, and EverestCast are good at encoding, DJ accounts, and AutoDJ. The widget they ship is a lowest-common-denominator embed: it plays, and that is about it. Changing its look usually means editing the panel theme or asking the host to restyle it.
Web Radio Players leaves that engine alone. You copy the stream URL the panel already exposes, paste our embed once, and manage the listener-facing player from a separate dashboard.
Why stations replace the bundled widget
A control-panel player is tied to that panel. If you ever change host, the embed and the styling go with it. A dashboard-managed player stays yours.

Compatible sources include any standard Icecast or SHOUTcast mount those panels output — including Radio.co and similar hosts that hand you a stream URL.
How the swap works

If you do not have a website, skip the embed and publish a hosted listen page instead. Sponsor banners live on that page, not inside the player widget.
